Thermocouple Temperature Sensors

There are many different types of temperature sensors, but a thermocouple is one of the most common as it's easy to use, reliable and accurate, and cost effective. Thermocouples are made up of two different metals (most commonly nickel and iron or copper and chromium) that form a loop when connected together at both ends. The two metals have different electrical properties and when heated, the electrons flow from one to another. This flow creates a small voltage difference between them which is measurable and allows you to determine the temperature of the thermocouple.

We are experts in designing and manufacturing thermocouples for a variety of applications. We have been building them for over 40 years and our extensive experience means that we can offer you an accurate, reliable product at an affordable price.

Thermocouples are typically used where other temperature sensors, such as RTDs or thermistors, would not work well because they have low sensitivity or high resistance. Thermocouples are often used in high-temperature applications, such as furnaces and kilns, because they can withstand high temperatures without breaking down. They are also used in low-temperature applications to measure liquid temperatures.

We manufacture thermocouple temperature probes and sensors onsite, so we can build to any variation and specification. If you can't see what you require, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
